Booker Middle School National Junior Honor Society:
The BMS Purple and Gold Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is a service organization for students. Participants are required to maintain scholastic aptitude, demonstrate leadership and are required to obtain monthly community service hours.National Junior Honor Society participates in the community to maximize integrity and health. Members of N.J.H.S. are involved in fundraising for projects supporting local charities and for future projects of Booker Middle School. Meetings are held by the guidance counselors and elected student N.J.H.S. leaders. Examples of such foundations we've helped are Relay for Life, Teens for Jeans, The Backpack Program, Mayor's Feed the Hungry, and The MDA's Shamrock Project. Each of our students must be fully committed to the service of the N.J.H.S. in order to maintain membership.
